By using the pull-down menus in the form below, you can find people listed in the Campus Directory. The search tool can be used to search by full name, surname, given name, netid, e-mail address, street address, telephone number, and department name. The information in the Campus Directory is the University's official record of information. If multiple Directory entries match the search criteria, up to 100 entries will be displayed.

Policy on Appropriate Use:
Information in Princeton University's on-line campus directory is provided solely for use by members of the Princeton University community and by others who wish to reach a specific individual or resource at the University. Use of the information for solicitation by mail, e-mail, telephone, or other means, from individuals listed in this, is prohibited.

Expected Formats

• Surname: last name, text, not case sensitive
• Given name: first name, text, not case sensitive
• NetID: text and/or numbers, not case sensitive
• E-mail address: netid@Princeton.EDU or netid@deptmailserver.Princeton.EDU If you are uncertain of the official e-mail address, use "contains" for a wider search.
• Street address: text, not case sensitive. If you are uncertain of the official street address, use "contains" for a wider search.
• Telephone number: numbers and hyphens; format is nnn-nnn-nnnn or use "ends with" for a partial telephone number, such as 8-1000
• Department name: text, not case sensitive; must be a full department name, not an abbreviation (e.g., not OIT, ORPA, PMI, or WWS). If you are uncertain of the full department name, use "contains" for a wider search.
• University ID: nine-digit number

Some Helpful Definitions and Examples

1. "is" will search for an exact match between the information contained in the field specified on the left and the text you enter in the box on the right.

   "Surname is Doe" returns entries in the Directory where the person's last name is Doe. It will not return entries where Doe is part of the last name, such as Doe-Man.

2. "contains" will search for a match on some of the text within the field specified on the left and the text you enter in the box on the right.

   "Surname contains Doe" returns entries that have Doe in the last name. Results would include Doe-a-deer and Fi-doe.

3. "begins with" will search for a match between the field specified on the left and the text you enter in the box on the right that starts with your text. If the text you type is embedded within the information contained in the field specified, no match will found.

   "Surname begins with Doe" returns entries such as Doe and Doenut, but will not find Fi-doe.

4. "ends with" will search for a match between the field specified on the left and the text you enter in the box on the right that ends with your text. If the text you type is embedded within or at the beginning of the informatio contained in the field specified, no match will be found.

   "Surname ends with Doe" returns entries such as Breaddoe, but will not find Doenut.

5. "is similar to" will search for a entries that are similar to the text you enter in the box on the right for the selected field.

   "Surname is similar to Doe" returns entries that seem similar to Doe, such as Doe, Dough, and Donut.
